Overview
Frank and Sue McBee Elementary School is committed to providing educational excellence through academic rigor, cultural relevance, relationships, and personal responsibility. McBee values and challenges ALL students to be independent thinkers, problem solvers, and social justice leaders. McBee offers Dual Language from Pre-K through fifth grade. Our signature programs include Social and Emotional Learning, No Place for Hate, and the Creative Learning Initiative. McBee also sponsors after school enrichment and fine arts clubs. Volunteers and community partnerships such as Academy 4 and Austin Public Library make a tremendous positive impact and enrich the school’s educational programs. McBee is a part of the Navarro Early College High School family of schools.

McBee offers a variety of programs to serve the whole child:
Early Childhood Programs
Free half-day Pre-K for 3-year-olds and full-day free and tuition-based Pre-K for 4-year-olds.
Bilingual Education
One-Way Dual Language is a Spanish dual language program that includes instruction in both English and Spanish to help students excel academically while becoming bilingual, biliterate and bicultural. A one-way program is intended for native Spanish speakers.
Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT)
A highly-trained dyslexia interventionist
Math and Literacy Programs
